I'm very excited about this new endeavor of mine. I can't really say that Something Tangible is a life-long dream of mine because the idea only came to me a few months ago. However, I've really run with it and I've gotten mostly positive feedback from anyone I've spoken to about it, so I think I've really latched onto a solid idea with a lot of potential. Plus, being a Capricorn, I have a tendency to be goal-oriented and very determined to succeed -- not to mention a perfectionist -- all of which are assets in this effort. That's part of the reason I incorporated the Capricorn and Saturn symbols into the Something Tangible logo, by the way. Saturn rules Capricorn, and is the planet that signifies hard work and responsibility. Coincidentally, the right half of the Capricorn symbol looks like an "S" and the left half of the Saturn symbol looks like a "T," so it worked out perfectly for the initials of my company. Also, Capricorn is an Earth sign and gemstones are mined from the earth...I've even selected earth tones for the website. It's all connected. Never let it be said that I am not thorough!
I am looking forward to sharing this journey with you. This blog will serve as a forum for news and information, not only about Something Tangible, but about anything of interest I learn -- and I am always learning! -- on the metaphysical properties of gemstones, crystals, and minerals; jewelry-making and beading techniques; new materials available in the industry; and anything else that comes to mind I think may be of interest to blog subscribers. Please feel free to let me know what you want to read about here. If I don't have enough information on the topic, I'll find resources for you and refer you to them. I promise you, I won't pretend to know more than I do on a given subject. If I don't know the answer myself, I'll find someone who does!
Thanks for reading, and Happy Holidays!
